DRONES not JETS for the AF-BEWARE-citizens' cars are targets-

Looks like my contacts w/ the Army and AF  were correct in their take - 10+ years ago-that there would  be few actual pilots trained to pilot planes--that it would  be mostly drones-
that knowledge drove many promising airmen- out of the Corps...

/the-drone-zone.-'pilots training using private citizens cars as  targets-
"Today many of the pilots at Holloman never get off the ground. The base has been converted into the U.S. Air Force’s primary training center for drone operators, where pilots spend their days in sand-colored trailers near a runway from which their planes take off without them...."

"“Wait, you guys practice tracking enemies by using civilian cars?” a reporter asked. One Air Force officer responded that this was only a training mission, and then the group was quickly hustled out of the room.."

I think the JSTARS project used to have an anti- IED feature where the aircarft would record the ground traffic for a period of time from the air, then plot the IED explosions, and then playback their tapes in order to "trace" all vehicles that had recently stopped nearby BACK to their points of origin in order to create a new target list.

I'm not sure that this is a bad thing, the west is very squeamish these days when it comes to war. We seem to want to fight our enemies but don't want any casualties, in such instances things like drones without pilots become more favourable.

I heard the other day that by 2020 there will be over 40,000 drones in the air above America. What are we supposed to do invest in 20mm cannons.
Thanks for the post.
