The first paragraph speaks to the NFL draft pick who is a self proclaimed homosexual and kissed his "partner" after he found out he was officially in the NFL-
the cut below is about a real man-
However, has anyone heard even a peep about Alejandro Villanueva? Well,
he was picked up by the Philadelphia Eagles – a strapping fella at 6’9″
and most important, a graduate of the US Military Academy at West Point,
and a former Army Ranger.
The defensive lineman spent
the past four years as an active member of the United States Army. The
Eagles watched him perform at a regional combine in Detroit last month.
He last played football in 2009 for Army as a wide receiver, converting
to that position before his senior season. Villanueva served as the
Black Knights’ offensive captain in 2009 and led the team in receptions
(34), yards (522) and touchdowns (five). He began his career at Army as a
reserve defensive lineman and transitioned to left tackle in 2008,
starting all 12 games at that position as a junior.
Villanueva graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point with a
Bachelor of Science in systems engineering and was commissioned into
the Army in May 2010 as a lieutenant in the infantry. During his first
deployment to Afghanistan, Villanueva earned the Bronze Star Medal for
valor for moving forward under enemy fire to pull wounded soldiers from
an isolated position, according to the Eagles’ release. He later
volunteered for the U.S. Army Rangers program and served two more tours
in Afghanistan.
Villanueva will bring to the Eagles a sense of duty and honor and a
toughness that goes beyond just playing the game of football.
h/t -Thank you Leticia
BTW- if you hit the defensive lineman link - you will hear an interview w/ Villanueva- his Bronze Star is discussed--as w/ most of our BEST - Villanueva was humble about his bravery in protecting his fellow warriors--
It reminds me of my Army Sgt. nephew who was awarded the Bronze Star -and who told my sister--"I was just doing my job protecting my men.""
The brave are truly honorable -and humble!!

Like you, I don’t pay that much attention to professional sports. I used to, but no longer. I guess I don’t understand why these people make so much money “playing a game,” when our young men and women who place their lives in the balance, receive a mere pittance of what professional athletes make. I guess the American people are willing to pay professional athletes so much money because the VALUE most what they do. This is the rub, of course. I wish they would rather VALUE what our BEST are doing on a daily basis.
Villanova has paid his dues; good luck to him, and my best wishes for every success.
M- valuing our BEST is the word we must get out there - if we have to do it a little
at a time- so be it--

Good stuff Carol.
And yes, I'm not into pro sports either, especially how the owners treat the public like drug addicted teenagers. When do people say enough? Apparently never.
