Mr. Michael Steele is the new Chair of the RNC---
Thank you -pete-a commenter at Gateway Pundit:
hate to rain on your collective parade but Steele doesn't even understand that the 2nd Amendment isn't about hunting.
Q: Your views on gun control?
A: My views are pretty much in line with the governor's. I grew up under some of the strictest gun control laws in the country. You can have all the gun control laws in the country, but if you don't enforce them, people are going to find a way to protect themselves. We need to recognize that bad people are doing bad things with these weapons. It's not the law-abiding citizens, it's not the person who uses it as a hobby.
Q: Should people have access to buy assault weapons?
A: Society should draw lines. What do you need an assault weapon for, if you're going hunting? That's overkill. But I don't think that means you go to a total ban for those who want to use gun for skeet shooting or hunting or things like that But what's the point of passing gun laws if we're not going to enforce them? If you want to talk about gun control, that's where you need to start. We've got 300 gun laws on the books right now. At the end of the day, it's about how we enforce the law.
NOT ANOTHER ONE OF THESE GUYS! Sheesh!

And this interview from PJM and M.Malkin:
My comment on Z's blog:
Mr.Steele needs a bit of coaching as to original intent -of the Constitution that is...Hint-the Second Amendment was not added for the sake of hunting...
I'll wait a bit before I get excited...

As to the LIFE issue-well-he's vague-and you must understand--I don't like to have to read between the lines!
As I said - 'school's out' on Mr. Steele. I'm too used to being blind-sided by the R Party's go along to get along attitude..
PS. they just helped vote themselves $93,000 EXTRA in expense money!:

And forget, please, "conservatism," please. It will not “save” us because it has been, operationally, de facto, Godless and therefore irrelevant. Secular conservatism will not defeat secular liberalism because to God both are two atheistic peas-in-a-pod and thus predestined to failure. As Stonewall Jackson's Chief of Staff R.L. Dabney said of such a humanistic belief more than 100 years ago:
"[Secular conservatism] is a party which never conserves anything. Its history has been that it demurs to each aggression of the progressive party, and aims to save its credit by a respectable amount of growling, but always acquiesces at last in the innovation. What was the resisted novelty of yesterday is today .one of the accepted principles of conservatism; it is now conservative only in affecting to resist the next innovation, which will tomorrow be forced upon its timidity and will be succeeded by some third revolution; to be denounced and then adopted in its turn. American conservatism is merely the shadow that follows Radicalism as it moves forward towards perdition. It remains behind it, but never retards it, and always advances near its leader. This pretended salt bath utterly lost its savor: wherewith shall it be salted? Its impotency is not hard, indeed, to explain. It is worthless because it is the conservatism of expediency only, and not of sturdy principle. It intends to risk nothing serious for the sake of the truth."
Our country is collapsing because we have turned our back on God (Psalm 9:17) and refused to kiss His Son (Psalm 2).

I-too-believe that without the foundations of the WORD - there can be no freedom.

Thanks for the comment. As our Lord says: Apart from Him, we can do nothing (John:15:5).
