I sometimes really enjoy a hearty beer with various types of food.
K-I never thought of coupleing certain beers w/ certain foods until I read this---
Do you like dark beer-that is my favorite
( I prefer a good single malt
scotch though)
Carol-CS, I do like a dark beer depending. Normally, I'll drink Hienikin. I like a medium heavy beer with a little bite. I like Stella Atrois also.
I only learned to like beer at all in Germany...Aventinus mmmm
now I do drink a very cold beer with a Philly Cheese steak at my fave "the Shack!" But not often.

As to beer, ah my fav beverage!
This Thanksgiving I chose to give homage to my departed Dad in the purchase of Labatts Blue.
Budweiser is my standard but remembering Thanksgiving (twice; one in Canada and of course here in the U.S.) I thought of the fantastic "flavour" of Labatts.
