Let's get rid of the Hyphen-I'm an AMERICAN-How About You...

My Danish Grandfather raised the Star Spangled Banner every morning and lowered her every evening before sunset--
As a young child - I asked him this question...
"Grandpa-what about your other country?"
He looked at me and stated, "Ve are in America! Ve are Americans. Don't 'verry' (worry) about the 'old country'!"
He arrived here - joined our Army during WWI - was awarded the Purple Heart....
Thank you Grand Father for making it perfectly clear....

Thank you - PCC:http://pasadenaclosetconservative.blogspot.com/

I love John Wayne, one of my heroes, the quintessential American!

Great story regarding your grand father.

The Balkanization of the US will lead to disaster and mayhem.

Nice post Carol, thanks. It's one of the things that sets the western world apart from the rest of the world, and in many ways contributes to the superiority of the western world.

If you go to other parts of the world you might be in a country, but within there are divisions along tribe, caste, color etc.

They are not united and so they are not really free, which is essential to become a powerful nation.
