Letters of Reprimand to Our Commanders in the FIELD- WHAT!!!!!??

HUH!??! Kowtow*:illustration below...

My TAKE--the 'brass' at the top including our so called 'Commander in Chief ' ?? who doesn't even know the proper pronunciation of Corpsman (Corpse-man)...Should :
1)Remove the new RoEs Rules of Engagement---they are getting our troops killed....
2)Look out for OUR Troops instead of cowtowing (English spelling).. (kowtowing* is the bowing exhibited by bho) to what the Afghan 'non government' wants..outlined in blue below...
3)Look out for OUR COUNTRY and get out of there.....

George Washington was right!!---stay out of the affairs of other countries unless an attack is made on us in the US...
Never thought I'd state this --GET OUR GUYS OUT>>>>>
bho and his Alinsky minions still have a "BLAME THE MILITARY" attitude...
Exerpts from article:
>The investigations are a departure for the U.S. military, which until recently has been reluctant to second-guess commanders whose decisions might have played a role in the deaths of soldiers in enemy action.
In response to the recent reprimands, some military officials have argued that casualties are inevitable in war and that a culture of excessive investigations could make officers risk-averse.
>despite reports from soldiers that they were left short of basic supplies, such as water and construction material, to build defenses.
>Both the squadron and brigade commanders overseeing the Kamdesh outpost had been pressing to close it for months after they determined that it made no sense to keep troops in the area. But plans to close the outpost were regularly delayed because of pressure from Afghan officials, who did not want to cede territory to the Taliban, and because of other missions deemed a higher priority.

Mullen and Gates are typical CYAers--and - I never thought I'd say this.--..Kowtowers (Cowtowers) to the progressive side as is Colin Powell...
>The Pentagon's top leaders -- Adm. Mike Mullen, the Joint Chiefs chairman, and Defense Secretary Robert M. Gates -- also have been quicker to dismiss senior officers, fostering a change in the overall culture.

This post is unusually long for me - I thought my 'tome' writing days were over...

This is SICKENING, Carol.
I'm starting to agree with you about getting our soldiers out.
Then we tell those areas "Look, we're going to start bombing one neighborhood at a time until you present bin Laden and stop operating terror camps....we're starting Saturday...let us know when you want us to stop"
I know that sounds awful but people trained THERE are trying to KILL US IN THE MILLIONS so .. WHAT are we waiting for?!!
Yes, I KNOW that sounds awful, but our people are valuable, too!

Imagine our commanders getting reprimands and imagine soldiers knowing their comrades are gay and having to shower and sleep next to them. grrrr

Sent this article to someone on Facebook this morning...

As for the Afghani-Paki conflict, just look at the history of combat troops in that God forsaken land from the time of Alexander the Great, the Roman Empire, the Persian Empire (right next door), the Russian Empire, the British Empire, the Soviets, etc. and that will give any rational personal an indication of what is going to happen to our men and women with more boots on the ground.

I am in favor of special ops, predator strikes, commando runs, air force runs, carpet bombing, etc. but NOT an increased in combat troops, especially with the duplicitous & unreliable Afghanis & Pakis as "allies".

Commands from the top in the militay are slow to get to officers in the field leaving many to fend for themselves and be afraid to make important decisions that must be made in order to protect their men. More decision making power must be given to the CO's on location. We must fight these conflicts to win not simply to appease those in this country both civilians and politicians. Our troops are not pawns in some chess game.

Z-it seems that our BEST have to fight a war against two enemies...one 'over there' and the other here...

CE-i agree w/ you and Z-let's go after the enemy---with all of the technology that we have....stop being nice!...

RR-your are so right on---our BEST are in it for real- our government officials think it is a game!!

Whilst i don't fully agree that America should only defend herself when attacked and stay out of others affairs, i agree that fighting an enemy with your hands tied is stupid, dangerous and only gets soldiers killed needlessly.
