The commenters are a little weary and angst knowing that the NDAA is come to light---looks like full force in act 1.
But, this kind of exercise has been done in Houston in the late '90's.
Who knows what the next act will draw before intermission.

I am wondering if they know something we don't? And should we be preparing ourselves, for God knows what?

Leticia, prepare yourself for the new American dictatorship, complete with military street justice for all who resist. Maybe.

Sounds extreme, but think of all these people on the IV drip, that if the money stops flowing are going to riot quite violently. It what loser liberals do after all. That will be an excuse to militarize America for the duration.

I wouldn't put a lot of money on it, but it is in the realm of possibility. oblabber will blame it on the Tea Party but of course, Madmoiselle if and when.

A year ago the military did this in an abandoned part of Chester PA and terrified the citizens. I am afraid this is not new. They promised not to do it again. Right.

“"Today Americans would be outraged if U.N. troops entered Los Angeles to restore order; tomorrow they will be grateful! This is especially true if they were told there was an outside threat from beyond whether real or promulgated, that threatened our very existence. It is then that all peoples of the world will pledge with world leaders to deliver them from this evil. The one thing every man fears is the unknown. When presented with this scenario, individual rights will be willingly relinquished for the guarantee of their well being granted to them by their world government."
- Henry Kissinger in an address to the Bilderberger meeting at Evian, France, May 21, 1992.

(in an address to the Bilderberger organization meeting at Evian, France, on May 21, 1991. As transcribed from a tape recording made by one of the Swiss delegates. )”

If I trusted the government more I would say this is a good thing, but sadly it is as only as good as the government.
