Carol's Art-Red Horse-Soldier-Cross....

I started this piece in February and completed it in March 2009- -I did not want to do it as a flat radial concept in fact I did not want to do it at all!!!
After swathing the canvas with RED-I started adding - and I started going lateral!...I drew the Praying Soldier-then the Dragon Horse (now I call him Lucifer) and at the last minute-I struck the Cross ---The Dragon coming between a Soldier and the Cross....
May 2009-a bulletin came out that the BIBLES belonging to soldiers had been BURNED by the U.S. Government....
Prophetic-probably- this is not my STYLE---What do you think?

Carol, I think this is just wonderful.
It almost brought tears to my eyes..honestly. Our poor soldiers fighting for a country whose faith is besmirched by our OWN PEOPLE!

We just have to pray that things TURN AROUND and fast.......I'm afraid that dragon is gaining on us.

Thanks so much, this is truly a very thought provoking, well executed painting. Congratulations! xx

It may well have been prohetic though it may well also be that in your mind, when you started it, you (we all) knew what Obama was going to be like and that he and his administration would appease and pander to Islam. Try to tell us that we should all be one big happy family and that Mohammed and Jesus were sons of the same Father (oh what a crock. . .) We & the soldiers should accept it and be brother with the Muslims THOUGH IT GOES AGAINST EVERYTHING WE BELIEVE lest we be treated as outcasts. Thus the Dragon -- Obama, his admin & the liberals -- forcing us ALL to choose between what we believe is right and what they want us to believe to further their own agenda.

I was re-posting the Bible burning issue with the update from the Jewish Journal-and I happened to look over my shoulder and re-'saw' the painting I had just brought home...the link made my jaw drop!..

And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword. --Rev 6:4

WS-thank you --I'm thinking that I should take photos of my latest paintings and have my web -man put them up on my web site--have you checked that out?.
My sculptures are there...my passion is sculpting--finding room for them is a problem...:-) Paintings can be 'stored' on walls or standing one on top of the other against a wall...
