TAKEN--Fathers-Warn and Prepare Your Daughters and Sons-

The lack of Watchfulness on the part of girls/young women disturbs me-
Just read of _two young Swedish girls -raped one murdered_ by a guy they met on a trip...
The guy was in the same hotel different room-my comment to the situation:

????-the Swedish girls-
they did not know about the large numbers of rapes by -mid eastern men in Sweden?!!!! (their own country-didn't they read their news)
Why did they open their door to him-
Come on women-wake up - be aware-

being on guard should be taught to every woman-because it isn't just islamists that rape and murder women!-
C-CS
My other question would have been-where were their fathers when they were young -they should have been taught by their fathers to be aware!
Fathers-this Fathers' Day-I admonish you to take the time to warn and prepare your daughters and sons (priests' pederasty comes to mind)-and prepare them to be on guard...
I also recommend the movie TAKEN:

They're in the news every day. The numbers have to be staggering. Very sad.

K-what is 'scary ' to me is that so many young are un-informed of the danger..

I remember seeing Taken, it's a scary one that. It's why i generally shy away from traveling around in strange places. People think it's all kumbaya and nice photos, but when things go wrong, you find out the hard way that laws and how things work in other countries are simply not the same as at home.

I resolved a long time ago that there are certain things my kids will have to learn as a must, self defense and how to handle weapons and some sort of survival training. It's a parents job to make sure their kids are ready to face what comes out there.

People today have access to so much information yet they're unbelievably ignorant of what's really going on in the world. It's sad but many out there go about living their lives peacefully simply by the grace of God.

My folks wouldn't even let us to go a sleep-over forty years ago if they didn't know the parents and that they were going to be home, and they drove us each way.......and even then we hardly did :-)

We all survived. It doesn't take a village, it takes parents. Yes, and fathers.......at least to inform, if not scare the living daylights out of kids. SOmetimes being scared is a good thing!? :-)

MK-my Father taught those same skills --skills all children should know..Good oh you!

Z-nothing has changed- has it--Being taught to be aware of one's surroundings is a must---and parents who say NO! occasionally is also a must...
