Ft. Bragg...Palin...Restricted...

As far as I know---Sarah Palin is not a politician at this point...so-thank you Col. Buckner and McCollum - for letting our BEST meet and have Sarah sign their books...
BTW-Sarah-I'm glad you resigned---at least temporarily...
Just to add a little trip down memory lane---the troops in the field VOTE absentee--I recall that their votes were not counted in a certain Florida election (a few years ago) and -more recently- were not counted-YET- in the 23rd -NY. Don't our BEST deserve to have their votes counted!?

Fort Bragg, which is base for some 35,000 soldiers, does not hold many promotional events, especially not with political figures. Officials said they worried that media coverage would turn the appearance into a chance for people to express political opinions "directed against the commander in chief."

"The main reason is to stop this from turning into a political platform," said Fort Bragg spokesman Tom McCollum. "There are Army regulations that basically prohibit military reservations from becoming political platforms by politicians."

Interesting week for me, as a recovering Pailnista (draft movement and breaker of pic on my site)...

Outrageous this decision but Obama can get his photo op in South Korea...too bad he couldn't meet with Kim Jung Il to bow to him, too.

Keep up the great work Carol, we are going to start taking America back in '10 and then '12, from this socialist, interloping, anti American charlatan.

Well, only if they vote democrat, i take it.

"Officials said they worried that media coverage would turn the appearance into a chance for people to express political opinions "directed against the commander in chief.""

Bit of a weak excuse that, so where exactly where these officials when those anti-war protesting vermin were squealing and whining outside army bases when Bush was the commander in chief?

Besides i doubt very much that Conservatives would hijack the event in opposition to hussein, we're far more mature and polite to do that, that sort of crap is pulled by the left. Another thing, is hussein frightened of some dissent from a few Americans? Though he had more stomach than that.

The one thing about the bho 'victory' is that he is the 'avalanche' that I knew this country needed---
we have been a on a slow slide for 40+ years w/ people lulled to sleep - now we are awake!!!!
